Cissis’s (Pronounced “Sissy”)
My mother, Cissi, believed whole heartedly that food was the bridge between all people. She derived enjoyment from simple pleasures and dreamed of opening a market where she could engage fully with others, share her favorite foods and entertain with her jokes and food art (gum drop trees and centerpieces made of radishes and celery). Most important, she wanted a gathering place to plan a meal, grab a bit to eat or simply have a cup of coffee and good conversation, a place that would radiate her unconditional love.
I dedicate this store to my mother who passed away in 2003.
May all who come here be touched by the generosity of her spirit and her affection for all people.
Fondly,
Victoria Lynden
